Launch Crew

Launch Crew

The Launch Crew is the first and most important of our Good News Crews. The heart of a crew member is to carry the good news through whatever role they play in our church. We want every member of CBC Denver to serve on a Good News Crew. Right now, we just have one Crew that’s all encompassing—the Launch Crew.

A Crew Member is a servant leader of our house. We couldn’t do what we do without them. Over the next several months, they will show up willingly and consistently, ready to serve with grit. They are not concerned with a position or a title but rather with setting the table for others to experience Jesus. They embody our mission and values not just on Sunday but also Monday-Friday wherever God sends them.

3 Steps to Get Started

The application process is required for anyone 18+ years old. Before starting, you will want to take the spiritual gifts test. This is designed to help you better understand yourself and how God has wired you to serve through his church.

Step 1: Apply

This application helps us best serve you by being honest about the challenges of planting and the expectations for this launch crew.

Step 2: Interview

There will be a brief interview with a member of the leadership team to review your application, the launch crew covenant, and answer any questions you may have.

Step 3: Sign Covenant

If all goes well, sign the Launch Crew covenant and get ready for an adventure! Welcome to the Crew!

Launch Crew Covenant

This covenant seeks to bring clarity to the beliefs of Community Bible Church Denver as well as outline what is expected of you as a member of the Launch Crew. We commit to pray for you, shepherd you, equip you, and love you as a part of this church family.

  • I will always seek to grow as a leader and step into new opportunities to lead if asked.

  • I will regularly pray for my neighbors, for Denver, and for the nations.

  • I will prioritize the mission above my personal preferences.

  • I will live out the NEWS missional habits with my neighbors as my personal responsibility.

  • I will attend all Launch Crew meetings starting January 2025, including Sundays with The Heights.

3 Year Commitment

Launch Crew

We are asking you to make a 3-year commitment to this team, beginning January 2025, to help us get this church started and sustainable. The reason for this commitment is to set clear expectations and help you plant roots in the city and prepare for the grind of starting something brand new. Relationships take time, and starting a church in a city like Denver certainly will take time. Obviously, we would love for this to be your church home beyond that should God still have you in Denver.
